Can I try before I pay?
Yes. The first animation is free, with no credit card: upload a photo, the AI animates it, and you see exactly what you'll get. If something doesn't come out right, you have two more free retries on it. You pay only when you decide to go on to a whole film.
Are our photos used to train AI?
Not by us. Glim uses your photos only to make your film: it doesn't train models on them, sell them or use them in marketing. The provider that animates a photo receives only that photo, through a link that expires after two hours, and the copy prepared for it is deleted once the animation is ready. The privacy policy lists every provider and what each one receives.
How long does it take to make a film from photos?
Each animation usually takes 4–5 minutes, and they are made in parallel rather than one after another. Compiling the film itself is quick. What takes longest is usually collecting the photos from the whole family, so start a few weeks before the event.
What's the difference between a slideshow and a film?
A slideshow shows still photos one after another with music. In a Glim film every photo moves: in Classic it comes alive, in Growing it flows into the next photo, so you watch the person grow up. Both have an opening, music and titles. To go through hundreds of photos quickly, a plain slideshow is enough.
What is a growing-up film?
A film in which real photos from different ages flow into one another until you watch the person grow from a baby to today. Glim's AI makes the transition between every two neighbouring photos, from your photos; it never guesses how someone would look at another age.
Will it work on the big screen at the venue?
Yes. The film comes out in Full HD, and a wide 1920×1080 version suits the projector. The event pack makes a projector version, a 1080×1920 vertical version for WhatsApp status and a 1080×1080 square for feeds from the same film, the phone versions filling the screen with a crop that follows the faces, and adds a download page for the DJ and a QR card for the tables. Send the file to the venue a few days ahead and check it on their screen.
Do I need to download an app?
No. Glim works in the browser, on a phone or a computer. Sign in with an e-mail and password or with Google, upload photos from your gallery or computer, and carry on where you left off.
What if we don't like the result?
Every animation has a free retry from a shared bank, and you can add your own instruction or swap the photo. A failed generation returns the animation to your balance automatically. And there is a full refund within 30 days of purchase. And if something still isn't right, write to us.
How do I pay, and what will my card statement show?
You pay once per package, with no subscription, and the price you see is the final price. Paddle, Glim's online reseller and Merchant of Record, collects the payment and e-mails you the receipt. On your card statement the charge usually appears as PADDLE.NET* CODEPAL AI, after CodePal.AI, the company that runs Glim.
Do the titles and names come out right in Hebrew?
Yes. Titles are set right to left in Hebrew typefaces, with a Hebrew or Gregorian date as you choose, and you see every title before the film is compiled. We add the text on the opening ourselves, not the AI model, so the letters come out exactly as you wrote them.
What is Glim?
Glim (glim.co.il) is an Israeli service that turns family photos into a film gift: photos that come alive and growing-up films from baby to today, with an opening, music and titles, for screening at an event and sending to the family. Hebrew first, English too.
